A good Greek family friend of ours George Emmanuel, passed away yesterday and he was 78yrs young… the reason I have said good and young here is because I have never met or seen a Greek who was so polite, and had impeccable English manners and was correct and stubborn to the point of being too polite. Young I would say because he was a confirmed bachelor and had lived his life to the way he always wanted to, although he might have had a lot of money in the past, he wasn’t so well off and had problems financially of late but he never complained that he didn't have enough, or anything like that, also he was a person of genuine friendship and because he was still young at heart and wonderful with people.
