My chick pea curry recipe.

My chickpea curry Recipe
This is one of the special recipes that I like, and its my own creation.
Ingredients:
I can chick peas
1 chopped onion
2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds [Rai]
1/4 teaspoon of Cumin seeds [jeera]
1/4 teaspoon of Celery seeds [ Ajwain ]
1 teaspoon of garlic and 1/2 teaspoon of ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.
1 teaspoon of Dhana/Jeero [that's home made curry powder consisting of 2 cups of coriander powder to 1/2  cup of ground cumin/Jeera]
1/2 teaspoon of pickle masala [yes it gives a totally different taste]
2 cups water, and 2 teaspoons of gram flour
1 teaspoon of tomato puree, and lastly, 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala, salt and chili to taste and add coriander and lime/lemon to taste…

Method
1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan, heated, add mustard, cumin and celery seeds, till they start to splutter and pop, add onions, and fry till softened, add tomatoes and keep on frying till done and softened.
Add, ginger, garlic and turmeric and fry more…. till mixed.
Add the spices, that is the coriander masala, and garam masala,
Add pickle masala and add the chickpeas and mix/stir, add gram flour and fry for a minute as you will see all coming into a mix, add water, and  let it cook for a few mins that is simmer to boil and then add chili and salt to taste and then finally add lots of coriander leaves and serve with Rice, or Nan breads

These are the 2 blogs that I am reading constantly, one being the Ismaili cooking one what I am all about and the other is Gujarati cooking cooking which is part of the same culture, but all in all both of these blogs  are truly same in what I cook…. more or less that is…  Enjoy
